Each year Gippsland Water offers a number of vacation student placement opportunities. Vacation students are typically employed for a period of 12 weeks over the Summer/Christmas break for the purpose of gaining industrial experience. This program is aimed at university students currently studying a bachelor degree, or TAFE students currently studying a diploma.

Vacation students have worked in many areas of Gippsland Water including the following teams:

• Water and wastewater treatment
• Asset management
• Asset improvement
• Public relations
• Finance
• Agribusiness
• Resource recycling facility

The type and number of roles available varies from year to year and will be advertised on our website usually during October of each year, for commencement at the end of November to the beginning of December.
