Gippsland Water provides support for events, activities and organisations that benefit the local and broader communities.

Gippsland Water will consider sponsorship support for events, activities and organisations for the purpose of helping worthy causes within our community in accordance with the Water Act 1989. The sponsorship program aims to achieve a balance between educational, social and cultural programs that benefit the public.

The sponsorship program is a commitment by Gippsland Water to support the community with the understanding that Gippsland Water receives tangible benefits that may include:

  • raising public awareness on a particular issue eg. environmental concerns with a particular relevance to our water and wastewater functions;
  • involving Gippsland Water in a worthwhile community activity;
  • supporting Gippsland Water's strategic direction;
  • developing a positive corporate image for Gippsland Water;
  • offering an alternative form of advertising; and
  • allowing Gippsland Water to conduct market research.

Types of sponsorshipSponsorship

Gippsland Water sponsorship can take a variety of forms:

  • donations – financial assistance for a specific event, activity or cause;
  • in-kind assistance for a particular cause;
  • merchandise; and
  • provision of Gippsland Water’s Mobile Water Fountain for a specific event.
