The Soil and Organic Recycling Facility treats and recycles liquid and solid prescribed waste from businesses. It is the first facility of its kind in Victoria, and reduces the amount of waste going to landfill.
The SORF gives businesses a sustainable waste management option to treat and recover prescribed and non-prescribed organic wastes and hydrocarbon contaminated soils, which can then be reused.
The SORF’s environmental management system has ISO 14001 accreditation. This system helps us manage our environmental performance, which is also monitored by the Environment Protection Authority and independent auditors.
