Direct Debit

Gippsland Water understands your need to choose a payment option that suits your lifestyle and financial needs. Direct Debit offers you a convenient way of paying your water account.

The following options of paying your water account by direct debit are available:

  • Payment when account is due
  • Payment by instalments

Payment when account is due

Payment when the account is due enables you to direct debit the total of your bill on the due date. This means that every four months when you receive your Gippsland Water account, the total sum is deducted on the due date from your nominated banking account held at any bank, credit union or financial institution.

Payments by instalments

Payments by instalments enable you to pay small amounts more frequently. This means regular periodic payments are automatically deducted from your nominated banking account at any bank, credit union or financial institution. You may select whether you would like your payments to be deducted weekly, fortnightly, 4 weekly or monthly.

Both direct debit payment alternatives offer you the option of contacting Gippsland Water three business days in advance to defer the payment if the funds in your nominated account are low. Please contact Gippsland Water's Customer Service Centre should you wish to discuss this matter further.

To apply for Direct Debit please download and complete all details on the application form and send it to Gippsland Water at the address listed below. By completing this form, you authorise Gippsland Water to automatically deduct the agreed funds from your bank, credit union or financial institution according to the terms detailed in the service agreement.

If you select the option to pay by instalments, a Gippsland Water Customer Service Representative will contact you upon receipt of your application to arrange your individual direct debit payment.
