Water Plan 2008-13

Our tariffs for the five years from July 2008 to June 2013 were set in the Essential Services Commission’s (ESC) 2008 Water Price Review.

The ESC regulates prices and service standards for all water corporations in Victoria.

We submitted a Water Plan to the ESC which included:
• proposed major capital projects;
• proposed standards for water and wastewater services;
• the costs required to run our business; and
• the tariffs and charges proposed to allow us to service our customers while staying financially stable.

The process included community consultation of our draft Water Plan. Following these sessions, we released a final Water Plan for the ESC to consider.

After its review the ESC released a draft, held public consultation sessions, then released a final decision in June 2008.

The final decision includes the approved tariff increases (not including Consumer Price Index) for the Water Plan period. The ESC re-evaluates these tariffs each year, approving the coming year’s tariffs each June.
