Stage Four Water Restrictions will be lifted in Coongulla and Glenmaggie from 10 December, when Stage One Water Restrictions will come into effect. Stage Four Water Restrictions were imposed following the bushfires and heavy rains earlier this year, when ash and dirt entered Lake Glenmaggie and surrounding river systems. These restrictions were imposed to reduce the demand on water, allowing water to spend more time going through the treatment process to remove dirt, ash and sediment.

Gippsland Water has entered into a cooperative agreement with Latrobe Valley Racing Club Inc. (LVRC) allowing it to prepare the Glenview Park racing surface for its Traralgon Cup meeting on Sunday December 9.
