Gippsland Water is calling on its customers to conserve water wherever possible during this extreme weather event to ensure adequate water supplies are available.

Treated water supplies at several Central Gippsland towns are under stress following a dramatic increase in demand over the past week, which has seen water supply systems in several towns experiencing a doubling in demand during peak periods.
