Gippsland Water report proves a winner
Gippsland Water has won an award for reporting on its yearly activities in an open, thorough and easy to understand manner.
The organisation won a silver award in the Australasian Reporting Awards (ARA) for its 2007-08 Annual Report. This result is an improvement on 2008, when
Gippsland Water received a bronze award.
Gippsland Water managing director
David Mawer said the improvement showed the benefit of entering the awards.
“The Australasian Reporting Awards have set criteria for what should feature in a good report and our aim is to meet these criteria. The one-on-one feedback session with a judge is also a fantastic opportunity for us learn how further improvements can be made to our report,” Mr Mawer said.
The Australasian Reporting Awards, now in their 59th year, aim to help organisations improve their reporting to stakeholders and the community. This is done by setting criteria for businesses to adhere to, hosting a seminar on good reporting, and providing feedback to entrants.
Entries are received from across and and reports earn a gold, silver, bronze or nil award result based on the criteria for each award level. There is no limit to the number of winners in each category.
Any member of the public who would like to receive a CD copy of the upcoming 2008-09 Annual Report can contact
