Without further rainfall, water restrictions are likely to be introduced in the towns of Boolarra, Thorpdale and Seaspray in coming weeks. A well-established Traralgon motel and convention centre has saved more than two million litres of water in just four months after implementing water conservation measures across its site. With assistance from Gippsland Water, Century Inn has adopted a number of water saving initiatives including installing flow control valves in bathroom and kitchen taps, dual flush toilets, and water efficient showerheads.

All water wise Gippslanders are invited to a fun-filled community day to be held at Victory Park in Traralgon on Saturday 18 October to celebrate National Water Week.
