All water restrictions have been lifted - Permanent Water Saving Rules are now in force for all Gippsland Water customers.

The decision to move to Permanent Water Saving Rules follows analysis of inflows from water sources. When water restrictions are not in place, Permanent Water Saving Rules take effect.

The key Permanent Water Saving Rules are:

  • Always use a trigger nozzle on hoses.
  • You can only use automatic or manual watering systems from 8pm to 10am daily.
  • You can wash your car or water your garden or lawn with a hose fitted with a trigger nozzle at any time.
  • You cannot hose paved areas.
  • You must apply to Gippsland Water to fill your pool or spa if over 2,000 litres.

Permanent Water Saving Rules are now in force for all Gippsland Water customers in the following towns:

Boisdale, Boolarra, Briagolong, Buln Buln, Churchill, Coongulla, Cowwarr, Darnum, Drouin, Erica, Glengarry, Glenmaggie, Hazelwood North, Heyfield, Jumbuk, Maffra, Mirboo North, Moe, Morwell, Neerim South, Newborough, Nilma, Noojee, Rawson, Rokeby, Rosedale, Sale, Seaspray, Stratford, Thorpdale, Toongabbie, Trafalgar, Traralgon, Traralgon South, Tyers, Warragul, Wurruk, Willow Grove, Willung, Yallourn North, Yarragon and Yinnar.
