Direct debit winner for Warragul
A Warragul resident is the second winner in Gippsland Water’s Direct Debit campaign.
An excited Beth Carr will receive a Shop Warragul Gift Cards to the value of $250, an initiative of the Warragul Business Group that encourages locals to shop close to home rather than on-line or in Melbourne.
“When I got the call I was gobsmacked” said Ms Carr, who has been using Direct Debit since April 2013. “Direct Debit makes paying your bills so much easier, so to win this is a real bonus. I’m looking forward to using the Warragul Gift Card for my regular shopping as well as a few other items. Thanks Gippsland Water,” she added.
Ms Carr can use the Shop Warragul Gift Card in a wide range of retail outlets ranging from local butcher shops to children’s clothing and local restaurants.
Newly elected president of the Warragul Business Group, David Cann said that he’s delighted that a local person has won the Gift Card so early into Gippsland Water’s incentive scheme. “You’re never really sure how soon someone from your patch will win in things like this, so it’s really good that Beth has won and will be doing an extra bit of shopping here in town.”
Paul Clark from Gippsland Water said more customers were making the switch to Direct Debit. “We’re finding that customers like the flexibility and convenience of using Direct Debit. They can manage their bills in one place, save the invoices and keep track of things a lot easier.”
The Direct Debit incentive scheme is one of several initiatives Gippsland Water is following under the State Government’s Fairer Water Bills initiative which aims to put downward pressure on customer’s water bills.
Gippsland Water customers can make the switch to Direct Debit on-line at gippswater.com.au.
