Gippsland Water announces Water Week Competition Winners
Gippsland Water has announced the winners of its “Water: Live it, Love it” poster and short film competitions held for school students across Gippsland.
Paul Clark from Gippsland Water said that he was very impressed with the entries and the competition turned out to be a great success.
“We started the competition as a way of promoting the conservation of water amongst school students and have really enjoyed all the great responses we received.
“We’ve been overwhelmed with the amount of quality responses and congratulate all of the students who participated.”
The winners for the poster section of the competition were Grade 2 student, Ethan Twite and Grade 1 student, Elyse O’Brien, who are both from Kosciusko Street Primary School. These entries stood out in that they demonstrated the theme of water use and conservation in a creative and colourful way.
The short film contest was won by Year 9 student Natalie Schoolderman from Flinders Christian Community College. Her entry made excellent use of animation methods to convey her message while still being entertaining and fun.
The winners each received a $150 voucher from their choice of iTunes or Google Play.
Gippsland Water would like to thank everyone who entered and looks forward to running the competition again next year.
