Sale works to hit town

Sale residents will see activities increase over the coming weeks as Gippsland Water completes another major investment for the town.

“Our contractors will be working in Cunninghame Street initially but then moving along Reeve Street, Railway Place, Thomson Street, Stawell Street and Desailly Street over the next eight weeks,” said General Manager of Customer Service and Communications, Mr Paul Clark.

Some minor traffic delays will be necessary as Gippsland Water carries out this work.

The work being carried out is part of the 1.9 kilometre pipeline that will ensure continuity of supply for Gippsland Water customers.

The overall project is one part of a suite of investments in the Sale area amounting to more than $11 million between 2013 and 2018.

In town work will commence on February 29th in Cunninghame Street and progress towards Desailly Street.

“On behalf of Gippsland Water, I’d like to thank the residents of Sale for their patience during this period and assure them that we are aiming to complete the project as quickly as possible to minimise their disruption,” concluded Mr Clark.
