Rosedale spill update

Update: Friday March 18 13:54:

Gippsland Water will be continuing with the clean-up operation on Willung Road near Rosedale over the weekend.
Traffic management is in place and truck movements can be expected.
Gippsland Water thanks the community for its patience and assistance.

Gippsland Water crews have been successful in repairing the Regional Outfall System pipeline which developed a leak late last week.

Crews have been working around the clock over the weekend to remove the leaking treated wastewater, isolate the leaking pipe and then replace the pipe with a new section.

While the work has been successful, clean up and remediation works will continue for several days around the site.

Traffic management will remain in place for a number of days until all works are complete.

Gippsland Water thanks the local community for their patience.
