Poster competition winners announced
Gippsland Water has announced the winners of this year’s National Water Week Poster competition held for primary aged students across Gippsland.
“This year’s theme was ‘Water. Life. Growth.’, and we received a huge amount of creative entries depicting the importance of water for our community and our local environment,” said General Manager for Customer Service and Communications, Mr Paul Clark. “Our judges were very impressed with the thought and effort that went into each of the entries and had a hard time selecting the winners,” he continued.
The winners for each category were:
Flissity Bechaz – St Mary’s Primary School Maffra (Prep)
Maya Mason – St Mary’s Primary School Sale (Grade 1 & 2)
Ruby Davis – St Mary’s Primary School Maffra (Grade 3 & 4)
Madison Anderson – St Mary’s Primary School Sale (Grade 5 & 6).
The judges couldn’t split Flissity and Madison’s entries for the overall prize, awarding both their schools $500 from Gippsland Water to put towards a water saving device or initiative.
Each of the winners received an iTunes voucher and Gippsland Water prize pack which were awarded during recent school assemblies.
Gippsland Water would like to thank all the students who entered the poster competition.
