Yallourn North Sewer Rising Main Spill

Gippsland Water has reported a sewer spill to the Environment Protection Authority. The spill of domestic waste water took place within Energy Australia’s mining boundary adjacent to Sand Wash Road approximately three kilometres east of Yallourn North.

The spill has been contained and the sewer line repaired and reinstated.

The spill poses no threat to the community or the surrounding environment.
