Assistance with post-Christmas bills
Gippsland Water is reminding customers that there are options available to make paying their water bills easier.
Gippsland Water General Manager Customer and Community Paul Clark said customers who are having difficulty paying their bill should give them a call.
“We want to make it easier for people to stay on top of their finances, and we know that this time of year can be tough. Our local Customer Contact Centre can help arrange a payment plan that works for you.
“If you’re receiving a pension, we can set up regular payments through Centrepay that go towards your water bill.
“Another option is to set up a regular direct debit to help spread your bill payments out over time,” he said.
Gippsland Water staff can also refer customers to an independent service that provides free financial counselling for a confidential discussion about their finances, advice and access to support services.
“There’s a whole range of ways that we can assist so we really encourage customers to get in touch with our friendly team,” Mr Clark concluded.
