The role

In this role you’ll use your big thinking to elevate our long term planning as you lead our business strategy, innovation and technology agenda and major customer portfolio to ensure we remain sustainable into the future. As we move towards becoming a digital utility, you’ll be engaging with a breadth of stakeholder groups that will transform our future direction.

Often working with complex concepts, your ability to be able to cut through the noise and to distil these concepts into tangible results for our workforce, will ultimately end with transformational change that moves us towards becoming a sector leading service provider.

You’ll be a person that others want to be around, and work with, as the relationships you manage both inside and outside of our business have the ability to create dynamic shifts in the way we do business. You’ll also be focussed on our people and with your imagination and creativity to develop new ideas, you’ll help to set the standard that we aspire to.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience at a Senior Management level with relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Proven conceptual and strategic thinking
  • Advanced problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to positively influence others
  • A style of collaboration that is natural and makes others want to work with you

Gippsland Water supplies fresh clean drinking water to more than 70,000 customers, and wastewater services to more than 63,000 customers across an area of more than 5,000 square kilometres. It maintains a $1 billion infrastructure network, which includes more than 2,000 kilometres of water mains, 15 water treatment plants, over 1,700 kilometres of sewer mains and 14 wastewater treatment plants.
