Position Details: Strategic Planning Engineer – Water and Wastewater

Permanent full time position

Starting Salary Range $87,740 - $109,358 plus superannuation

We currently have an opportunity for a Strategic Planning Engineer – Water and Wastewater to join the Asset Planning workgroup in Traralgon.

In this role you will provide support to the Senior Strategic Planning Engineer in the implementation of strategic plans for planning of Gippsland Water’s water and wastewater treatment systems and reticulation networks, including asset management policy and processes. You will also coordinate and maintain water and wastewater hydraulic models and be the key contact for our internal stakeholders around technical related issues.

To be considered for this role you must have a tertiary qualification in engineering. Applicants with a civil engineering qualification are desirable.

In addition to the above qualification, to be successful in this role you will have;

  • Experience working in a technical role in infrastructure management
  • Experience in the use of water and sewerage hydraulic models and the development of asset management plans
  • Proven ability to effectively liaise with and gain cooperation from key stakeholders
