Emergencies and your water supply

Your local water corporation works through the year to bring you safe, reliable water supply and manage sewerage systems safely and in an environmentally sensitive way.

Gippsland Water is ready to continue that service in times of extreme heat, fire or flood.

However, it’s important to remember, that despite all the preparatory work water corporations do, they cannot guarantee their ability to maintain water pressure, an un-interrupted water supply or fully operational sewerage systems in times of emergency.

This page is designed to provide you with some simple things you can do to prepare yourself should our systems go down during a heatwave, a fire or a flood.
