We’re planning for the future and increasing capacity of our Yarragon sewerage network to cater for expected growth in the town.
We’re upgrading the sewer pump station at Factory Road Yarragon. The pump station will have a larger capacity to cater for increased flows as the township of Yarragon grows.
The sewer pump station in Factory Road Yarragon is getting old and will struggle to handle the increasing volume of waste as more and more people move to the area.
We’re also building an 8.5km section of new sewer main from the new Factory Road pump station to our facility on Eight Mile Road Trafalgar. From there, the waste heads to our Moe wastewater treatment plant for treatment.
We expect construction to start in late 2026 and be complete in 2028.

Environment and cultural heritage
As the new main runs through potentially significant areas, we’ve completed ecological and cultural heritage assessments. We’ll have measures to protect areas of significance included in our project specific Construction Environmental Management Plan to minimise and mitigate any impacts.
