Our Sounding Board is a group of customers and community members who share their views to help guide our decision-making.
As a member of our Sounding Board, you'll receive invitations to participate in engagement activities, such as focus groups, polls and surveys. You may also be invited to participate in panels and events.

As a member of our Sounding Board, you'll get a chance to influence your water and wastewater services. You'll also be able to share ideas and suggestions about how we contribute to our community.
You'll also be eligible to receive rewards or payment for participation in some of our activities.

So far, our Customer Sounding Board members have participated in quick polls, surveys, focus groups and user testing, with more opportunities to come.
This feedback has helped us understand what's important and has influenced the way we determine priorities, plan projects and deliver services.

Gippsland Water’s Sounding Board Promotion – Terms and Conditions
1. Promotion
1.1 Central Gippsland Region Water Corporation (Gippsland Water) (ABN 75 8307 504 13) of 55 Hazelwood Road, Traralgon Vic 3844, is the promoter and administrator of Gippsland Water’s Sounding Board Promotion (Promotion).
1.2 The Promotion is conducted in accordance with the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 (Vic) and Gambling Regulations 2015 (Vic) and is governed by these Terms and Conditions.
1.3 The purpose of this Promotion is to encourage participation in Gippsland Water’s Sounding Board.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Entry is open to individuals who:
2.1.1. are aged 16 years and over; and
2.1.2. reside within the Gippsland Water service area.
2.2 Directors, employees and immediate family members of Gippsland Water staff are not eligible to enter.
3. Entry
3.1 Entry to the Promotion is free.
3.2 Only one entry per person is permitted.
3.3 Entrants enter the Promotion by signing up to Gippsland Water’s Sounding Board via the online registration form www.gippswater.com.au/win$1000 and providing their contact details for the purpose of administering the prize draw. Existing members of the Sounding Board will be automatically entered unless they opt out.
3.4 Individuals that are already signed up and currently subscribed to the Sounding Board email list will be automatically entered into the draw unless they opt out after receiving an email from Gippsland Water.
3.5 Entries that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions at the time of the draw will be deemed invalid.
4. Promotion Period
4.1 The Promotion will commence from 12:01am AEDT Sunday 1 March 2026 and closes at 11.59pm AEST Tuesday 30 June 2026.
5. Prizes
5.1 There is one Prize consisting of a $1,000 Visa Gift Card (Prize).
5.2 The Prize is not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
5.3 If the Prize is unavailable, Gippsland Water reserves the right to substitute the Prize to a prize of equal or greater value.
6. Prize Draw
6.1 The winning entry will be selected at random using an automated generating tool that provides each entrant a fair chance of being drawn.
6.2 The prize draw will take place at 2pm AEST on Thursday 9 July 2026 at Gippsland Water, 55 Hazelwood Road, Traralgon Vic 3844.
6.3 The winner will be notified in writing within 14 days of the prize draw.
6.4 Gippsland Water’s decision is final and no further correspondence will be entered into
6.5 If the winner cannot be identified or contacted after 14 working days, or if a selected winner is ineligible, otherwise in breach of these terms, or unable to take the Prize for any other reason, Gippsland Water reserves the right to withdraw the prize, forfeit the original winner and conduct a second chance prize draw.
6.6 Second chance prize draws will follow the same method of selection as set out in these Terms and Conditions.
6.7 The Prize will be mailed to the winner within 28 days of the prize draw.
7. Personal Information
7.1 Entrants’ personal information will be collected by Gippsland Water for the purpose of administering the Promotion.
7.2 Personal information collected from entrants will be handled in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) and Gippsland Water’s Privacy Policy.
7.3 Entrants’ information will not be used for any purpose other than the Promotion and Gippsland Water’s Sounding Board unless expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions or as otherwise permitted by law.
7.4 If an entrant does not provide the requested personal information, they may be ineligible to enter or claim the prize.
7.5 By participating in this Promotion, entrants agree to the use of their personal information as described in these Terms and Conditions. Entrants can withdraw their consent at any time.
8. General Conditions
8.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions restricts, excludes or modifies any statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Law.
8.2 If the Promotion cannot run as planned due to technical malfunctions, network failure, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any cause beyond Gippsland Water’s control, Gippsland Water may cancel, suspend or modify the Promotion, subject to applicable regulations.
8.3 Winners may be required, if they consent, to take part in reasonable publicity relating to this promotion, without further remuneration.
8.4 Gippsland Water reserves the right to validate the authenticity of entries and entrant details. Incomplete, ineligible or incorrect entries will be deemed invalid.
8.5 Records of entries, financial accounting and Prize details will be retained by Gippsland Water for a minimum of three years after the promotion ends.
8.6 Gippsland Water accepts no tax implications arising from the Prize. Entrants should seek independent financial advice, where necessary.
8.7 Gippsland Water will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using the prize/gift, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
8.8 Insofar as permitted by law, Gippsland Water will not be liable for:
8.8.1. any faulty, incorrect or failed data transmissions;
8.8.2. inaccessibility or unavailability of Gippsland Water’s website or Sounding Board; or
8.8.3. any injury or damage to an entrant’s or to any other person’s computer which may be related to or resulting from any attempt to participate in the Promotion.
8.9 Failure by Gippsland Water to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
8.10 If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
8.11 These Terms and Conditions will be governed by the Laws of the State of Victoria.
