2019 Annual Water Outlook

The Annual Water Outlook draws on current storage levels and water resource modelling to forecast supply security during the year ahead.

Climate predictions indicate a dry and hot summer. However, restrictions to water supplies are unlikely over the coming months, except for at Briagolong. Ongoing record low rainfall at Briagolong has led to significant aquifer drawdown, with an increased likelihood of restrictions.

Our mid-year update in June 2020 showed a much improved situation in Briagolong as well as full storages, damp catchments and a promising rainfall outlook across our service region.
