Vortex Centre tours

The Vortex Centre is a great resource for primary and secondary school students. Admission is free for schools within Gippsland Water's service area.

The state-of-the-art facility features interactive displays, touch screens and videos, with a focus on water conservation.

You will learn about the water cycle, Gippsland's water catchment and how it is managed, the Gippsland Water Factory treatment process, and how we can all play a part in conserving water and using it more wisely.

Water and Wastewater treatment plant tours

Tours of our water and wastewater treatment plants provide a fascinating insight into the water industry.

Treatment plant tours are best suited to senior high-school, university and community groups. Our treatment plants are not designed for large groups, which means there are restrictions on the number of people who can attend a tour.

Things to know

As a guide, the following limits apply:

  • Treatment plants - 12 people
