Tours are available for schools, universities and community groups to a number of our sites. Our tours will give you a behind-the-scenes look at Gippsland’s water and wastewater treatment processes.
Admission to the Gippsland Water Factory is free for schools and community groups within Gippsland Water's service area.
You will learn the Gippsland Water Factory wastewater treatment process including the sustainable practices we use throughout this process.
Tours of our water and wastewater treatment plants provide a fascinating insight into the water industry.
Treatment plant tours are best suited to senior high-school, university and community groups. Our treatment plants are not designed for large groups, which means there are restrictions on the number of people who can attend a tour.
As a guide, the following limits apply:
Due to health and safety concerns, children under 15 years of age are unable to visit wastewater treatment plants.
Tours are free, but must be booked in advance. Please allow a minimum of three weeks' notice. We do not supply transport to our sites. Tours take up to 60 minutes. Multiple tour groups require a 30 minute gap between completion of first tour and start of second tour.
