Energise your summer holidays with our Vacation Employment Program.
Each year, we offer 12-week placements to undergraduate students studying in a range of disciplines. This program offers you the chance to apply your academic theory from the classroom to an industry environment, working on real projects. You’ll be supported with experienced mentors and continual training so when you graduate, you’ll have the skills and practical experience ready to take on your career.
Our vacation employment program is an excellent inclusion on your resume. You may be able to have this placement recognised through your university and gain credit towards your degree.
How does our Vacation Employment Program work?
The placements are for a period of up to 12 weeks over your summer university break from late November to mid-February.
The program will give you a taste of what it’s like to work in the water industry and an understanding of the various career pathways at Gippsland Water.
