Industry experience awaits at Gippsland Water

Applications are now open for Gippsland Water’s Summer Internship Program, which will take place from November 2025 until February 2026.
The program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to apply theory from their studies in their chosen field.
Acting managing director Nic Moss said the program has provided great opportunities for students to use their knowledge in an industry environment for over 25 years.
“The program gives students a taste of what it’s like to work in the water industry right here in Gippsland,” Mr Moss said.
“We offer a paid opportunity for interns to work in their chosen field, with dedicated mentoring and coaching.
“The internship runs for a period of up to 12 weeks, and interns will work in a team to deliver for our local community.”
Applications are open in the following areas:
- Engineering: civil, environmental, mechanical, mechatronics, electrical and process
- Environmental science: biology, natural resource management, climate, sustainability, ecology and botany
- Business and commerce: legal, media and communication, marketing, design, journalism
- Information technology
For some students the program can be used to gain credit towards their degrees.
