The community are invited to join the Sounding Board and go into a draw to win $1000.

The Sounding Board gives community members the opportunity to share what matters most to them and go into a draw to win a $1,000 gift card.

Members take part in engagement activities and provide feedback about Gippsland Water’s services and support for the community.

Managing director Sarah Cumming said hearing directly from locals would help ensure services reflect community needs.

“As the state’s major industrial water and wastewater provider, it’s important for us to understand the changing priorities, issues and concerns of the people we serve,” Ms Cumming said.

“Feedback helps to inform future planning and investment decisions, including how we shape services to meet local needs.”

Community members aged 16 and over can sign up at the Gippsland Water website. Participation in engagement activities is voluntary and anyone who joins before 30 June will go into the draw to win a $1,000 gift card.

Sounding Board members will be given the opportunity to provide input on a range of projects, including the development of the organisation’s 2028-2033 Price Submission and 2027 Urban Water Strategy.

The Price Submission will outline Gippsland Water’s proposed service levels, customer outcomes, prices and infrastructure investments over the next five years.

The Urban Water Strategy is the organisation’s long-term plan to secure water and sewer system capacity in the region for the next 50 years. It outlines responses to challenges like population growth, climate change and droughts.
