Mobile water trailer out and about to start 2026
Gippsland Water’s mobile water trailer has made a splash start to 2026, supporting a range of community events across the region.
The trailer has kept crowds hydrated over the summer including at the recent Heyfield Timber Festival and will continue to do so at the upcoming Sale Music Festival on 29 March.
Managing director Sarah Cumming said providing access to free drinking water is one of the many ways Gippsland Water is involved in the community.
“We’re proud to support local events and community groups, and to play our part as a trusted community partner,” Ms Cumming said.
“By providing free drinking water, we’re helping locals make a healthy choice while reducing the need for single-use plastic bottles.
Ms Cumming said the use of the mobile water trailer played an important role in supporting better public and environmental health outcomes.
“Using a refillable drink bottle supports the sustainability of the environment by helping reduce the amount of plastic waste sent to landfill,” Ms Cumming said.
The water trailer is available for events expecting more than 4,000 people where there is a water main connection available at the event location.
The mobile water trailer and Drink Gippy Tap portable fountains are available to book for community events at www.gippswater.com.au/portabledrinkingfountains.
