SMS alerts keep customers in the loop
Gippsland Water customers can now receive SMS notifications for planned sewer works, helping them stay informed and plan ahead.
Customers who have registered their mobile phone number will receive a text message when works are planned in their area that may impact them.
The new functionality delivers on a commitment made in the organisation’s 2023 Price Submission, following customer feedback for clearer and more timely information about service disruptions.
The SMS will advise of the week and times the works are planned to take place, including an outage reference number and information about what to expect.
This builds on previous improvements Gippsland Water has made to enhance customer communication including SMS notifications for bill reminders, high water consumption alerts and planned and unplanned water supply outages, as well as an online outage tracker, which can be found at www.gippswater.com.au/outage-map.
