Wellington Shire to have their say on local water and wastewater services

Gippsland Water employees stand under the marquee talking to a customer at the Wellington Sustainability festival
Gippsland Water will host pop-ups at local cafes and community events over coming months, including the recent Wellington Sustainability Festival in Sale.

Gippsland Water will host a series of pop-up events across the Wellington Shire over the coming months, encouraging the community to share their thoughts on the region’s water and wastewater services.

Customers will have the opportunity to speak face to face with Gippsland Water team members and help inform the 2028-33 Price Submission and 2027 Urban Water Strategy.

These two important documents outline future services, prices, infrastructure investments and plans for water security.

There will also be the chance to sign up to the organisation’s Sounding Board, where community members can share their insights to help inform decisions and outcomes.

Pop-up events throughout the Wellington Shire include:
- Badger and Hare Café, Stratford, Thursday, 9 April, 8.30am - 10.30am
- The Food Store, Maffra, Thursday, 9 April, 11am – 1.30pm
- Middle of Everywhere Jobs and Careers Fair, Sale, Wednesday, 13 May, 9.30am - 2pm.
