Tell us how you use Shillinglaw Creek

What we’re doing

As Drouin grows, there's more demand for our services. More people using showers, sinks, toilets and washing machines creates more wastewater for us to treat at the Drouin wastewater treatment plant.

Wastewater from Drouin’s homes and businesses is treated to a high standard to ensure its safe and meets strict requirements set by Victoria’s Environment Protection Authority (EPA). The treated wastewater is then returned to the environment via Shillinglaw Creek in Drouin.

Understanding how you use the creek and what you value about it helps us ensure our community and environment thrive, including the local wildlife we love to see in local waterways.

How do you use and value Shillinglaw Creek?

We reached out to learn what the waterway means to our community and discover how you use the creek. Thank you to everyone who responded.  We really appreciate all the insights you shared.

This feedback will help inform the next stage of the project.
